We know that most illnesses start as mental, emotional, and physical stress that, if not discharged, becomes chronic. This epigenetic process produces diverse symptoms and sicknesses, but their root is imbalance. As a Balance Method practitioner, we always seek equilibrium. Our goal is regeneration rather than degeneration. The classical principles you learned in our Core Foundation Track (CFT), such as yinyang 陰陽, sixiang 四相, bagua 八卦, and yi 易 are not just philosophical abstractions. Besides applying them to acupuncture, you can directly embody them for greater awareness, wellness, relaxation, and efficacy both clinically and personally. Through the cumulative benefits of Gongfa on your mind, heart, and body, your best self emerges to affect your patients by positive example.

For all practitioners, Gongfa is thus a practical complement with the following main benefits:

  • Protects the practitioner from resonating with internal and external pathogenic influences from patients.
  • Increases the practitioner’s efficiency, effectiveness, and intuition for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Helps practitioners keep balance, avoid exhaustion, and exert stronger positive presence on patients.

For acupuncturists, Gongfa more specifically optimizes results during the needling phase. Like Balance Method Acupuncture, Gongfa also utilizes a three-step process to deliberately apply the practitioner’s intention, emotion, and action towards treatment results. Gongfa can be directly implemented by acupuncturists to upgrade their clinical work as well as prescribed to patients to enhance the stability of their acupuncture treatments.[/vc_column_text][vc_tta_accordion color=”peacoc” active_section=”none” collapsible_all=”true”][vc_tta_section title=”Needling with Intention – Yi Qi Li” tab_id=”1544215333010-a31820ff-96fc”][vc_column_text]As acupuncturists our primary tool is the filiform needle. We may be familiar with it as a medical device composed of sterile metal material. However, to elevate clinical efficacy and accelerate professional mastery, what the practitioner directs through the needle is vital.

In other words, it is the practitioner who empowers the needle to affect the patient. To amplify this positive influence, there are particular details and subtle nuances that must be employed. Over many years of trial and error, mature acupuncturists or those who were fortunate to apprentice under a master, may gradually realize these essentials. Discouraged by mediocre results, the majority may quit long before reaching this level.

Rather than remain implicit this capacity can be deliberately trained as specific skills. These start by needling with intention. In this seminar, participants will learn the elements necessary to needle with more confidence and efficiency. They will practice directly implementing self-care cultivation (Gong Fa) into their clinical practice with the goal of providing clients with better care and greater success.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][/vc_column][/vc_row]
